Amal Maher (Arabic: آمال ماهر) (born 19 February 1985)[1] is an Egyptian singer. Her powerful voice provided her license to the hearts of good listeners as she is quiet much influenced by Umm Kulthoum. In this, she has performed many concert in Egypt and neighbor countries in paying a tribute to “Planet of East” Um Khalthoum, who symbolize the beautiful era in Arabs arts through her great authentic Tarab singing and music.[2]

Amal Maher grew up with only one sound Um Khalthoum’s. Seduced by “Essit” art, she dreamed of a heady singing career. Mohammed El-Meligi is the first to discover her talent while she was singing at school. Later on, she joined Cairo Conservatoire and whenever Dr. Salah Aram listened to her extravagantly beautiful voice, he managed to introduce her to the well-known musician Ammar al-Shereie. The matter that leads to her popularity as al-Sherie was preparing for the Umm Kulthoum series and she has got a wonderful chance to sing for her role model, Umm Kulthoum.
It was her husband, Mohamed Diae who gave her the opportunity to achieve her childhood dream by proposing her a song and a music video. “Ely Binak W Binha” was a great success and was aired on all music TV Channels earning Amal Maher the recognition she sought and huge sales on her album. These days she is preparing her second album.[3]
